White Heron Art Print

About the White Heron/Kotuku

The White Heron, Kotuku is a symbol of rarity in New Zealand. Maori considered it so rare and beautiful as to be seen once in a lifetime.  Known as ‘the bird of a single flight‛, it‛s believed they flew to New Zealand on the winds from Australia hundreds of years ago.
