Ibis Art Print

This beautiful art print depicting the Australian Ibis is a simple yet elegant art work by New Zealand artist Cathy Hansby.

Once known as the Sacred Ibis, these striking wading birds are widespread across much of Australia.  Their natural habitat is swampy wetlands, rivers and lakes. Once rare in urban areas, Ibis have recently migrated to Australia's east and west coasts, and now appear in city parks, due to drought and inland habitat loss. 

Now called the 'bin chicken' of Australia, due to their opportunistic nature, Ibis have earnt their unfortunate nickname.
