Atmospheric Abstract Artwork
Light on Horizon by Wellington based photographic artist Destina Munro brings a striking balance of colour, light and geometry to your interior. Deep teal and near-black tones frame a luminous sweep of amber, burnt orange and pale gold, creating the impression of light emerging from shadow. Soft, diffused colour lends depth to the bold angular composition, making this square abstract art print both contemplative and visually arresting.
Equally at home in a modern dining room, a thoughtfully styled hallway or a relaxed living space, Light on Horizon introduces colour without overwhelming a considered interior. Its interplay of warm and cool tones sits beautifully within contemporary and mid-century-inspired settings.
Colour pairing and styling
Take inspiration from the dining room styling and pair the artwork with walnut furniture, oatmeal upholstered chairs and warm white walls. Ivory ceramics, an amber glass bowl and a single teal accent draw out its palette without making the room feel overly matched. Natural woven rugs and linen soften the strong geometry, while curved furniture offers a pleasing contrast to its angular forms.
For a quieter hallway setting, hang it above a slim timber console with a simple ceramic vase and a small amber accent. Pale oak flooring and a neutral runner allow the artwork to become the focal point. For a more enveloping look, muted green walls and softly draped curtains complement its deep teal tones, while charcoal or dark bronze details echo the darker areas of the composition.
Pair Light on Horizon with its sister artwork, Tension, to connect their shared golden tones and geometric forms in a cohesive arrangement.
