The Muriwai stretch of coastline is a place of boundless energy. Horse riders, off-roaders, dirt bike riders, surfers, fishermen and dog walkers all share the "coastal highway" and in summertime it's very busy. Behind the dunes is Woodhill Forest, lakes, and hills from where breath-taking views of the Tasman can be witnessed, making it a spectacular location for New Zealand and International movie makers.
