The beautiful natural blend of Merino Wool, Possum Fur and Mulberry Silk is woven with a plating technique that combines two different yarns to give a subtle, textural, moss stitch effect in a two tone colour.

Possum Facts
  • Possum fur is 30% warmer than wool due to its fine, hollow fibres that trap warm air, increasing warmth retention
  • The hollow core of possum fur is lightweight and comfortable, 20% lighter than other wool types
  • The natural properties of possum fibres resist odour so reduces the need for frequent washing
  • Possum fibres in Koru knits have no scales which makes the are incredibly soft when combined with Mulberry Silk
  • Nature fibres will decompose naturally at the end of its life

Possums are an introduced species to New Zealand causing significant damage to our native forests and endangered wildlife. The New Zealand Department of Conservation has declared the possum a national pest and is working towards its eradication. Possum fur in Koru throws does not use fur that is farmed for clothing. 

Care Instructions

  • Hand wash in lukewarm or cold water

  • Do not rub or wring. Gently fold and squeeze to remove excess water. Lay flat in shape to dry.

  • Do not tumble dry as this may cause shrinkage

  • Dye may run in the first wash, wash separately.

  • Dry Cleanable

NOTE: Keep the temperature consistent during the washing process. If you hand wash in cold water, rinse in cold water. If you hand wash in lukewarm water, rinse in lukewarm water.
