Lake Tekapo is an open edition print by Auckland artist Steve Ballantyne. This New Zealand artwork is a beautiful piece that merges creativity with digital tools, mainly using a photo-illustration style. This unique art form combines the realism of photography with the imaginative flair of illustration.
The vibrant lupins that line the edge of Lake Tekapo in spring and summer were introduced by a farmer's wife who wanted to brighten up the rugged landscape. On rare winter days, the lake partially freezes, transforming into a surreal icy tableau that contrasts sharply with the surrounding mountains. Each season paints the lakes shores differently - vivid lupins in spring, golden tussocks in summer, and snow-dusted peaks in winter. One of the most beautiful places on earth.
"Lake Tekapo" is printed on high quality Epson Enhanced 192gsm matte paper, so you'll get images with sharp detail, high colour saturation and a high gamut. It is quick drying with a flat matte finish and a bright white base that accentuates highlights and tones.
Your print will carry a digital signature on the bottom right hand corner and care is taken with the print process and quality checks to ensure your print is perfect.
Images are printed to order, so please allow around a week for unframed art and around 2 weeks for framed art.
Prints are available with a white, black or natural frame in glass (with white border) and canvas with or without a float frame.
